The pattern behind it: in every major key the chords go major – minor – minor – major – major – minor – diminished. In every natural minor key they go minor – diminished – major – minor – minor – major – major. See how the keys connect on the interactive circle of fifths and how to play every chord on the piano chord chart.

Quick answers
How do you find the chords in a key?
Build a triad on each note of the scale using only notes from that scale. In a major key the pattern is always major, minor, minor, major, major, minor, diminished (I ii iii IV V vi vii°); in a natural minor key it is minor, diminished, major, minor, minor, major, major.
What are the three main chords in a key?
The I, IV and V chords: in C major that is C, F and G; in G major G, C and D. With the vi chord (Am in C) they cover most pop songs.
Which keys share the same chords?
A major key and its relative minor use the same seven chords: C major and A minor, G major and E minor, and so on. Only the home chord changes.
